Plato and a Platypus Walk Into a Bar…: Understanding Philosophy Through Jokes by Thomas Cathcart and Daniel Klein, 2006, Abrams Image.
I’m not so sure how well one can learn about philosophy through this fun little book. I guess it depends on how much you already know. Mostly, the chapters are topical setups for the jokes. It’s a nice book for bedtime, I think. Light reading, but not mindless. The jokes are mostly mediocre, but that’s better than most joke books available, I think. There are a few that are really quite good, too.
Recommended for interesting reading, perhaps an introduction to philosophy for those who feel intimidated by the word.
